English: Middle East and North Africa

Everyone is quick to assume that either all MENA (Middle East and North Africa) entrepreneurs are men and that the women entrepreneurs would be doing soft things that impact investing likes both would be wrong. “It’s sometimes hard to get taken seriously,” said one panellist. “Try telling a male employee that he has made a mistake,” lamented another. And a third participant reported: “My mother always complains that I work too hard. ‘Why do you do this to yourself? When do you get married?’ she asks.”
